What this article helps you do
Turn proven search terms into structured, controllable Single Keyword Campaigns (SKC) using Scale Insights.
Before you start you’ll need:
• Existing bidding rules under a Strategic Objective
• Or the ready-made Scale Insights Bidding Rules stack applied
Our Software Support can help apply this if needed. Book a call with them here or start a chat.
Step 1: Create SKC Campaigns in Mass Campaigns
Go to Mass Campaigns
Select Split Keywords to Campaigns (SKC)
Choose the product you want to work on
This workflow allows you to turn individual keywords into their own dedicated campaigns.
Step 2: Configure SKC Campaign Settings
Recommended setup:
• Keywords per group: 1
• Campaign bidding strategy: Dynamic bids – down
Campaign naming format (recommended for clarity and future management):
SP_ASIN_ProductName_SKC_Exact_KT_{Keyword}
Where:
SP = Sponsored Product
SKC = Single Keyword Campaign
KT = Keyword Targeting
The Ad Group Name should match the Campaign Name.
If you are setting this up for later review, set the Initial State to Paused.
Step 3: Calculate Initial Keyword Bids
Open the Search Terms report created in Article 2
Apply the following filters:
• Check Exact = Unique
• SKC Yet? = Unique
These are performing search terms that are not yet targeted in Exact-match SKC campaigns.
Add a new column called New Bid
Calculate the bid as 110% of the keyword CPC to ensure visibility
Copy and paste values to remove formulas
Next, prepare the SKC input format:
Add a column called SKC Target
Combine the search term and bid using the format:
Search Term | New Bid
This prepares the keywords for mass upload.
Step 4: Input Keywords and Execute SKC Campaigns
Copy the SKC Target values
Paste them into the SKC Keywords section in Mass Campaigns
Click Preview
Review the campaigns that will be created
Click Execute
The SKC campaigns will be created in Seller Central and synced with Scale Insights.
Once your SKC campaigns are live, the next step is to ensure inefficient spend continues to be managed automatically.
